Spring has sprung...

But here in Nebraska we still have a chance of Snow!!!  
Go figure...   :)

I have been very busy with my paying job, and working on my 2014
Spring and early Summer show schedule. 
 
It is all looking very good so far, with a couple things to report...

Although our phones have been shut off for several months, we are
planning to get them turned back on in the next couple of weeks.
And with that I will also be able to accept credit cards from now on!
I now have a "Square" along with a new/used device that will allow
me to use it.   I am so looking forward to finely being able to say,
YES I accept credit cards!!!    :)

For my first few shows, as my Calendar over to the right shows...
A Garden theme show in April, and two vintage shows in June.  
I am hoping to locate one for mid May too.

I am VERY excited for my first show of the season, A Spring Affair!
This year will be the 28th annual Spring Affair!   The Midwest's largest
Gardening event, with  more than 500 different varieties of plants for
sale.    Along with over 30 venders all showcasing Garden/Yard
related items.    Including...   Garden  Art, Ornaments & Sculptures,  
Hand crafted Wood Furniture & Bird Houses, along with other
Garden related items, and very valuable information.  
ALL under one roof!!!   At the Lancaster Event Center, in Lincoln NE.

As for the 2 Vintage shows in June,  I will tell you all more about them
a little later.   For now I think I will say Good Day, and I hope to post
pictures of what I plan to take to the Spring Affair soon...

Well...   Lets try this again...   
It has been over 4 years since I started this venture of an Art Blog.
NEVER expecting to be doing it with out my mother to share the
highlights with!   It has been very hard for me to get back in to the
swing of things in the Art and Show world!  
I tried so hard to get things rolling last year, and started off with
the Lincoln area ABATE Bike Show.    But it did not go as well
as I had hoped, as in past years sales were very good!
The 2013 show did not end as well...    :(

With the rest of the year having many bad moments,  it was just
rocky all the way around!!!

So...   This year...   Well, I am not even going to give highlights
of my ideas!   I did post new items to my Calendar here on my
blog.   And I do have ideas and plans for things.   But it seems
when I spell it all out in my post, things just don't go as planned.

With that said...   I am "hoping" to do good things this year!!!
baby steps???   will give it a try, again???

I finely got it done!!!

Jayce D. was so happy!!! She ordered this scarf from
me at a show quite some time ago, I am ashamed to say...
But it is done now, and she just LOVED it!!!

I presented it to her at the Bike show this last weekend
at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln NE.

Everyone can look forward to scarves like this in an
array of colors at next years Bike show...

Working to get back on track...

Well, well, well.....    
It is now over a month in to the year 2013, and my how time flies!   
But not only when you are having fun either...       :)

I am working diligently to get my Blog & my business back on track.  
I have a list of new shows that I am planning to apply for, along with a few that I have already been excepted to.
Be sure to check back every few weeks to see what shows I have added to my calendar.

For the past several months I have been working on sketches for new 
Jewelry, ideas for displays, gathering vintage items to be re-purposed 
into new useful things.   I have also added beautiful canvas prints of our
photography to my inventory.   Along with really cool "Hat Box"
containers  of all sizes with our photography on them.    Not to mention 
a few new items for the Garden that I have been perfecting.

And, as soon as I locate my card reader I will take some pics. of ear-
rings to list in my Etsy shop 4-sale.    I am also planning to clearance 
out some of our older "Picture Art" Note Cards, with listing small lots 
of 2, 4, 6, and 8 cards in my Etsy shop.

I will be posting more info again soon!!!   Baby steps to start!   :)

I know that is has been 4ever since my last post... 
 and I am VERY sorry for that!
Things have just been rather rockie around the home front lately.

It's Snowing!!!

Well...  today marks the second Snow for my big city of Lincoln Ne.
It's not all bad, and not even really cold out...   Yet???
My bad... I don't have any pictures to share, I will be sure to get one
to post for everyone enjoyment tomorrow.

But as you can see, I have gotten my Etsy shop up and running on
my blog now.    Thanks to my good friend  Jodie!!!   (she did all
the technical stuff to implement it into my blog)
and yes... I know I only have one item posted for sale.  
I will be working hard this weekend to get some cool stuff posted
for all to shop.    

It is the Christmas Season and time for shopping and presents...

was Sat. Oct 15th.   It is a yearly event that offers a lot
of beautiful beading and jewelry supplies, along with wonderful
 inspiration for fellow Jewelry Artists.

Hello Everyone...

Well, hello all...   I am very sorry that it has been for freaking EVER
since I have posted on my blog.   This year has been VERY trying
on me and my husband... I won't go into it right now, but suffice it to
say that I am about half as much more crazy now,
than I was 8 months ago...

Enough of that for now...
I have some very exciting news to share with everyone!!!!!

I have been selected as a vendor at a fairly new shop in town,
 Lincoln Nebraska that is...     The shop is called...

I will be finishing the setup of my booth tomorrow,  and plan to
take a few pictures of my display and  post a couple when I get home...

Lincoln Women's Expo...

Well, Hello...   after a long weekend at the Lincoln Women's Expo, I am taking a couple of days to recover.
It was a fun time, just like last year...   
     I was all ready to post pictures of my display and tell U all about it, but...     I can't locate my card reader
to post my pictures.    So I will have to go look for the little cable that I can use to plug the camera into my laptop.    Wish me luck...   be back soon...

Is it 2011 yet???

I can't really explain why I have been away for so long...    I have alot of personal  & family issues out and about right now that have been monopolizing my time.    They have me so confused and scatter brained that I don't know if I am coming or going...  

I would love to use my blog as a sounding board to vent about things that are going on in my life,  to talk and get some outside opinions about some very important issues that I am having with my brother right now.   The issues have been apparent since shortly after our mother's death  in October of 2009.     I just don't know what to do, most days I just want to sit in a corner and cry...    And since mid September things just keep getting worse...    

Thus the large gap in postings to my blog....    I am truly sorry for my lack of interest and lack of postings...     It may be a few more months be4 I come out of this slump with the goings on with my brother...    If ANYONE has any words of encouragement that may help me,  feel free to send me a comment.

Oh... my goodness....    has it been over a month since my last post???   I'm so sorry, time has just gotten
away from me...    house work, the garden, the yard, the cats, the husband....    ha, ha, ha.....

Summer was long and hot....  and I swear it was twice as long as last year...   

I do have a wee bit of good news to share with everyone, I received my invitation & acceptance letters for the M.O.N.A. Holiday show in Kearney.     I'm really looking forward to it...   I'll post more info about it

it's my Birthday...

Okay, not 2 day, but 2marrow...
     Not sure if I'm excited about it or not...  Being the first birthday without my mom, and come on... is any one over 40 EVER excited about a birthday???   Well I was a couple years ago, it was a surprise 40th gathering on my 42nd.   That was part of the surprise...   It was really HOT, so hot we could not even stand being in the beer garden...   A good time was had by all...   My wonderful husband even backed me a cake and it was way yummy...  He took pictures too, of me and all my guests.   So I have wonderful pictures of my birthday to enjoy forever, one particular picture that really means the world to me... it is a picture of me with my mom and my brother, probably one of the last pictures taken of her,  and I treasure it...
     I just went to look for those pictures so I could share them with you, but no luck 2day...
they R on safari....    just like half of everything else that  I ever look 4...      I will look again later...


     Now on with new business...  I have found my little card reader to use my memory card with my lap top, but apparently I have forgotten how to use it.   Because I spent 3 hours last night playing with it and saving pictures to post.   Then when I got in to my blog and started working...  I had nothing...
 it was very disappointing....      I will try that again later too...

     I will also be trying a bread & butter pickle recipe that a dear friend gave me.   It was an emotional thing the day she gave me a taste of them.   It made me think of all of my mom's recipes that I will never have now.
She was a master cook with most of her recipes in her head.    I can only hope that I will find some of her canning secrets in a notebook or jotted down on something when I get to going through her stuff.
  
Well... I think that is enough sad stuff for now...    I will try to find my b-day pictures from 2 years ago so I can share some of them with U all...     have a good day...    christina   =^,^=   meow...

Howdy... Howdy...

     Well the weekend is at an end, it always goes so very fast...    I had so many things that I wanted 2 get done this weekend, I always have a list.   But it never fails something else comes up and my list goes terribly astray...   

     I did have my flower sale in my yard 2day that I had bean planning all week.    I had such a good turn out that I think I'm going 2 do it every other Sunday, unless we R camping or I have other obligations.    So keep a look out for more info.   I did not post it on my blog this time, but next time I will be sure 2 do so.

     I want 2 thank ALL my friends, and customers for stopping by my sale, a good time was had by all....    U know who U R...   :)

     Well, I had an interesting afternoon...      I decided to make an attempt at trapping the naughty little feral Tom Cat that killed our pool.     I got the "Live trap" all set up and ready, and within 3 hours I had one.   Not the one that I wanted, but he was one of the two that keep fighting over our yard.   So I called animal control to come pick up the little critter...    and U will never guess what happened... 
     The little bugger got out the in door...    Just as the animal cont. lady was at the trap and un-hooking the back side he got all hissy and showed his teeth,  he must have hit the door just right because he was able to push it open about 3 inches or so....   and he was gone...    Maybe that will scare him enough to keep him out of our yard for a while...
     After that I went to Jodie's open studio...    4:30 to 6:30 every Wednesday...  check her out...
